OUT OF THE MOUTH OF MAC

There are certain teachers who work the morning car pool line at Grant's school.  They rotate out a bit but we have definitely gotten to know the faces (and some names) of the people who open our car door to greet us and help Grant out every morning.  There is one teacher in particular who just plain and simple looks mean.  She always has a disgruntled look on her face.  She is African-American.  I have met and spoken with her, and she is a prime example of why not to judge a book by it's cover.  She is very sweet and quite pleasant to have a conversation with.  Mac obviously doesn't know this.  As we're getting closer to the front of the school - which also means we're getting closer to this certain teacher - Mac says, "Mama, I don't wike that chocolate girl." Oh, Mackey, there are so many life lessons to be learned from this.  Where do I begin?

The weather the past few days has been absolutely beautiful, and the forecast for the rest of the week looks the same.  We're LOVING it and soaking it all up!  Some pictures from our day at Sonshine Playground yesterday:

ANOTHER CHEER UPDATE:
One last note but certainly not least:  Bethany cheered at her first basketball game last night. Only she didn't just cheer, she cheered in full capacity as Captain of her squad - large and in charge!  :)  She was so nervous as it wasn't only her first basketball game as a cheerleader, it was her first time at a basketball game period - AND she was in charge of calling all the cheers including the half-time stuff.  I wasn't able to be there but Tara said she handled it like a pro - not that we were surprised!!!  I'm sure Tara will have some pictures up later.  Keep checking her blog.  We're so proud of you, baby girl!
