ENJOYING WARMER AFTERNOON TEMPS and EARLY BEDTIMES

The mornings have been quite chilly by my standards, actually they've been COLD (and I think we all know how I feel about that), but yesterday it warmed up and was the perfect temp to enjoy the afternoon outside. We do love the outdoors, and I especially love it when the boys let their imaginations take over. When they're just boys being boys, playing with sticks, in the dirt, with trucks, etc. I don't do it enough, but yesterday I plopped right down on the ground to watch them play. And, when they allowed me to, I would participate. But a lot of times they'll say, "Momma, you just sit right there and watch, ok." They all played really well together (which seems to be rare these days - usually I feel like I should get paid to referee).

I believe this look signifies something along the lines of would you please remove that camera from my face:

I'm glad I have a back-up camera for now but these pictures don't compare to my good one. I miss you, Big Nas'. :)

We came in earlier than usual because of the time change. I bathed the boys while Chris started dinner. We ate dinner, got the boys tucked in, watched our daily dose of Y & R, and were headed for the bath. As I was turning off the lights, making sure all the doors were locked and everything was off in the kitchen, I glanced at the clock on the oven. It said 7:15. I looked at Chris and said, "Honey, look at the clock." He said, "Surely that's not right." And I probably shouldn't admit it, but it was. It was only 7:15 p.m. and we were exhausted. We obviously needed the extra rest because we went on to bed and all enjoyed about 10 hours of zzz's.

Ahhh, there's nothing like a good night's sleep! Today is supposed to be even warmer so a repeat of yesterday would suit me just fine.
