HEADS-UP CRAYOLA A NEW COLOR HAS BEEN DISCOVERED

For Christmas the boys got some of these
and these
They love playing and drawing on their little floating easels, and really have fun mixing the tub tints to see what color two different colors can make. We've been learning how yellow and blue make green; red and yellow make orange; red and blue make purple, etc. They will get two tub tints, each guess what the color the two (or three) will make, then throw them in the tub to watch them swirl around with much anticipation to see who's right. Yesterday afternoon was spent with Mac and me being couch potatoes while Chris, Grant and Reid sat in a tree stand. All of a sudden Mac jumped up, ran in his bathroom and said he had something to show me. He came out with his his "floating desk" and said, "Watch this, Mommy, I made a new color." He proceeds to draw this:
Then says, "Bwue and red and green and orange and yewwow make..."

Are you ready for this???
"GURPLE."

Here's what it looks like up close:
For curiosity's sake I looked it up. It really is a word, even a color, at least in the urban dictionary. But we'll just let it be the color my entrepreneurial four-year-old came up with.

What cute bath toys! I'm thinking we need to invest in some of those. Bath time here is 99% of the time pure torture! :) You'd think a Barbie water slide would help, but Santa didn't get 2 of them so that makes for lots of problems...please tell me you know how that is!!

Oh you MUST invest in some bath toys! We love bath time around here (except maybe the time the boys flooded my bathroom - HA!) And yes, I have to get 3 of everything which is why we get most of ours from Wal-Mart. Plain ol' shaving cream (I mean cheap, $.89 Barbasol shaving cream) makes for a lot of fun too. Storkland/Name Dropper has some really cute bath toys as well.
