Because our computer is fried. Well, I'm hoping it's just the power cord but something tells me it's more than that. Whatever the case may be I really really hope the hard drive is still intact because I have a lot of things on that computer I really don't need to lose. Not only my precious pictures but all of our tax information I've been working on for, oh just the past six months. I don't have a very good back up system. And by not very good I mean non-existent. This computer is not even a year old. Times like this make me want to kick my own butt for all those times I've been meaning to get an external hard drive.

The diagnoses: Lightning.
I took the computer to one of Chris' computer-savvy friends. He opened up the tower, hooked it up to a few different gadgets then went, "[sniff sniff]Oooh, do you smell that? That's NOT good." Apparently my sleep wasn't the only thing to go kaput when the storm came through the other night. The silver lining is that the hard drive is fine. He was able to back up everything for transfer onto whatever will take its place. Whenever that may be.
And now I must go. Blogging from my phone is getting on my nerves in a big way because it isn't doing what I want it to do. I must publish this post now before I am also without a cell phone due to the fact that it was thrown against a wall.
Happy Thursday. We have our last practice game tonight before we officially get into full swing (get it? full swing? I know, I know. I'm heelarious) with the regular season Saturday. Word on the street is Norton Vinyl is the team to beat. :) We shall see...
